The ground floor and the first floor will have an expanded conference area with several mobile dividing walls. The Maritim hotel is a perfect starting point with many of the cities attractions easily reachable from here on foot. These include the Postdamer Platz, the ultramodern city quarter with its cafes, cinemas a spacious shopping mall and in its centre on Marlene-Dietrich-Platz, a casino and a musical theatre. The Kunst and Kulturforum next door to the Maritim Hotel is a museum complex of European art collections consisting of the Picture Gallery, the Art Library, the Arts and Crafts Museum, the Museum of Prints and Drawings and the New Research Gallery.
